3 Reasons to Drop Everything and Head to the Beach
A cool, soothing, coastal breeze blows through my hair. Stress immediately floats off of my shoulders. I feel as if I don’t have a care in the world.
If you’ve ever been to the ocean, you probably know the feeling I’m talking about. If you haven’t, I’m sorry. And you need to visit as soon as possible.
There’s no denying that plenty of activities are available at the beach. Sun bathing, boogie boarding, surfing, running, people watching, eating… you name it, and you can probably find a version of it to do while enjoying the waves. Even if there’s no beach access near the part of the ocean you’re visiting - there may be beautiful cliffs to sit on and just ‘be’.
Your skin will thank you.
The salt water has many healing minerals that can repair wounds. It’s been linked to help heal psoriasis, arthritis, and more. I’ve noticed that it even improves acne. And don’t forget about that sand - it’s a natural exfoliant and will leave your whole body feeling smooth.
There’s no similar feeling.
Like I mentioned earlier, the ocean has a way of lifting stress away. It’s almost a “magical” sort of freedom. It’s like nothing else matters at that moment besides being present and soaking up God’s creation.
What do you feel and think about when you’re at the beach? I’d love to know - let me know in the comments!
